Released on March 1, 2005, Desahogo is the seventh studio album by Puerto Rican pioneer Vico C. The RIAA-certified Platinum album blends Spanish rap and reggaeton with traditional Latin and Caribbean styles like salsa, vallenato, reggae, and Cuban guajira, alongside R&B. Lyrically, the album tackles heavy social and personal subjects, ranging from political corruption, consumerism, and the over-commercialization of urban music to romance, faith, and personal regrets.
